How Group Skydiving Works: Step-by-Step 

Can skydiving be done in a group or individually? Both! When you book your skydive, let us know how many people are in your group. You can do this over the phone or when booking online. 

• Check-In
  You and your group will arrive at the dropzone, complete liability waivers, and meet your instructors. 

• Pre-Jump Brief
  Our instructors will brief you on every part of the skydive – from entering the plane and how to put your goggles on to what to expect while in freefall and how to execute the landing. This is your time to ask any questions you may have or voice any concerns. 

• Plane Ride
  Peering out the plane door to see the crystalline waters of the Keys is magical in itself. But then turning your head the other way and seeing your best friend by your side will put a smile on your face you won’t ever forget.  

• Post-Jump Celebration
  Watching your friends soar around under a parachute and swoop in for landing right before or after you is one of the most exciting things. There will be feelings of accomplishment, elation, and general giddiness! And experiencing these emotions together is special. 

How Many People Can Skydive Together? 

Tandem skydivers cannot actually jump out of the plane with one another. Why? It’s a safety concern! Tandem skydivers leave with separation to avoid any collision in freefall or while under the parachute. 

If you can’t jump out together, then what’s the point? Well, all the other parts! Signing in together, hyping one another up pre-jump, experiencing the plane ride, and celebrating afterward all work together to create lasting memories.

As we mentioned earlier, you and your partner cannot leave the aircraft at the same time. However, you can sit together on the plane. This shared experience makes a great memory and the best footage for your video. What’s even better than a skydiving date? A skydiving double date! 

Tandem Skydiving Requirements 

To jump with us at Skydive Key West, everyone in your group must meet our tandem skydiving requirements:

• Be 18 or older
• Be no more than 270 lbs
• Be in generally good health
• Sign a waiver of liability
