Skydiving since 2019
Andee grew up in Idaho watching BASE jumpers near her hometown, but never thought she would follow in their footsteps until she befriended some jumpers when she went to college. “They had this passion and joy for life that intoxicated me. I wanted to find that joy as well. So when my friends traveled from Idaho to a skydive training center in California, I went with them. And that’s where I made my first skydive.”
Andee remembers the nerves of being a first-time skydiver: “I actually didn’t start solo skydiving until three years after my first tandem jump. On my first solo skydive, right before I exited the plane, I let out a high-pitch scream that I never even knew I had in me!” Exhilaration won out over fear, and Andee has been solo skydiving ever since.
Her advice to first-time jumpers: “If you’re scared, remember to just breathe. It’s the most amazing thing you will ever do.”
